Visiting New York........

Hope you are all having a great week........

I just wanted to show you a few things from our trip to New York City on Saturday.....

It was really fun we went to the American Museum of Natural History.

My favorite part was the butterfly exhibit.
I ate gluten free food at Friedman's in Chelsea Market.

Which was actually more stressful than fun. its actually always more stressful than fun for me to eat out. Which is so sad.  I got Fries too they were really really delicious.
Were were supposed to go to Babycakes. they have gluten free cupcakes but we didn't get to go.
I was sad.

Bando for you?

We were at work the other day talking about something and I was telling my friends Miss Robin and Miss Avril about the need for head gear. Not like head gear from middle school tooth straightening things but head gear in the form of flowers and feathers. Miss Avril and I are anxiously awaiting our jcrew flower head bands to arrive but in the mean time we are thinking about wedding since Miss Robin (who would most likely appreciate me not calling her MISS) is getting married in um 2 months and like 12 days maybe 9 days? And we were discussing the Bando Head Bands. Which let me tell you....... had I known about these bad boys..... I would definatly have worn one for my Winter Wonderland Wedding.

Here are some of my favorites.

They also have Belts. Makes me want to bust out my glue gun and some ribbon. Although I have tried that many times and never ever had this much success.
You can't even tell me that they weren't made for me. I was seriously born at the wrong time. I  should be wearing ball gowns and fancy sparkly head feather things with rhinestones all the time...

Well I am off to New York City to go to the museum and hopefully hit up a gluten free cupcake store. Have a great day.

Gifts for My Love (Archie McPhees part 2)

My husband is really hard to shop for mainly because when he wants something he buys it. So that doesn't leave much for me to buy for him. It makes it pretty impossible actually.
So when I found Archie McPhees  I was soooooo excited.

Look at all these great husband gifts to choose from...............

A Sweet Space Lunchbox

Perfect to bring his lunch to work with.
The other guys will be so jealous.

Elf Feet
What can I say? Our favorite movie is Elf.

Wasabi Gumballs
Pauly and the little girl next door like to see who can eat more wasabi. Maybe a good treat.

Squirrel Underpants
My husband adopted a family of water rats at work. They live in the river. They might need accessories. I tried to get my sister to knit scarves but it didn't work.

Luchador Masks

He has a thing for Luchador Masks.
He loves Nacho Libre.

Sushi Shower Curtain

Love Sushi
A Collection of mustaches for him and his friend.

(Pauly doesn't need this he has a crazy beard but last week when we went to his friends CD release like 15 people came up to us to comment on Pauly's SICK beard.) This way they won't feel left out. The drummer ever grew an awesome handlebar mustache.

Giant Squid

Okay, I'm not going to lie, I love Discovery channel and national geographic a lot.
and I really love sharks and sea life but I also really have a special spot in my heart for squid especially giant one.

I have watched a lot of documentaries and specials on the subject and I just found these pictures.
I never saw them before and I was really shocked because they didn't have any photos of live giant squid.

but then I find these two actual photos of live giant squid.

I found this one on the National Geographic website it was caught December, 2006 in Japan. It died later.

He one was caught in Antarctic on February 22, 2007

I am excited to see them but it makes me sad because I believe fishermen are finding them because the squid don't have enough food and they are coming up from the depths to eat.

I love Jezebel too.

Happy Sunday morning everyone.

click on this link to see more cards and beautiful stuff. Certain images remind me of Aubrey Beardsley. Especially the bottom one.
I just found these they are lovely.
