I just spent the whole night with my mom watching Gilmore Girl reruns and making things like acorn squash and cookies. I wish I had a huge kitchen with beautiful cabinets and counter tops and a TV. I once had a TV in my kitchen it was amazing. Especially at Christmas.

My husband and I wanted to have a carnival/ circus theme wedding but since we were getting married in December it was going to be a little too cold. Every so often we think... "um want to renew our vows so we can have a circus wedding?" But it seems to be a bit soon (we have been married for 2 1/2 years) Its my fault.... I love to plan parties. This couple here had the cutest engagement pictures I ever saw. I love them.

Well then I guess Summer is almost over.... so sad. Yesterday was the first day back to work. I wanted to stay at the beach but it didn't happen. (I was on "vacation" last week)

Well its Friday!!!! I have been looking up lots of new ways to fix things..... I need a change of scenery. I am considering several options for the weekend.... including but not limited to...

1. making a bunch of clothes

2. farmers market then lots of baking.... (if I can find a farmers market in Litchfield)

3.Painting my cabinets in the kitchen... not sure how that is going to pan out. Pretty much I just want to go to Ikea and get a new kitchen or find sweet vintage cabinets on the side of the road. actually that would be the best.

4. Lots of etsy shopping.... I found two million things I need to buy people on etsy.

I just love it.

so I am off to a picnic in about 12 minutes.

Whats really weird is that I have been sort of hot lately. Not normal at all for me. Of course I am an idiot who things its appropriate to wear jeans and converse and knee socks in August.... but anyway so I have been thinking about some cooler weather things which is very strange for me cause I live for the summer. I have been in space for I guess about a month.... sorry about that. It was my birthday and I got my 1973 Super Beetle all fixed and running and I have been learning how to drive standard driving it around as much as possible and school is wrapping up..... and i have been working on my garden and my pinhole camera which is getting pretty exciting.... lots of work to do so I have been much busier than I usually am....well thats not true but I have been noticing that I have no time.... I am working on redoing my etsy shop I have to clean out some stuff..... soooooo I hope to be getting back to blogging and making more stuff soon.

Its Friday!!! Which is great because Its been a long week. And I spent most of last night at the DMV trying to register my bug.... Which was a terrible experience... I guess that the people at dmv are actually trying to kill my soul.

But on the good side I got to go shopping with Rachel at Target and got some super cute stuff and I am happy to say that she is Graduating with her Masters on Saturday!!!!!

My father just made this crazy drink called Apple Pie..... It has a ton of stuff in it but apparently tastes just like apple pie with alcohol.

I love love love this fabric but I made the dress too big cause I don't really use patterns that much and I kind of build it as I go and I always start too big. But I like it anyway.

I learned how to knit last week. My sister taught me. Here are a few things I made so far....

I made Zoe this scarf with flowers.

This is the first thing I made... a cowl. Its super warm. I am also finishing two other scarfs.. a brown and tan striped scarf and a green and white one like Zoe's scarf. Oh and I made a knitted bag but I forgot to take a picture of that.

I just now remembered that I forgot to mail my Christmas cards. Oops.

I probably forgot about 13 things I was supposed to do cause all I want to do lately is knit.

But now is my favorite time. I totally freak people out cause I am super in to Christmas, I have to make up for the years that I didn't like it. I also work with little kids so basically I believe you can't work with little ones and not love the magic of Christmas. Plus do I have to mention all those sparkles?

I found this recipe on The Marvelous Miss Elena Eous Blog...

it looked too good I couldn't resist. And since we are nearing Halloween I just had to make them.

I had to adjust the recipe slightly since I am gluten intolerant... but they are yummy... really yummy. I sprinkled mine with cinnamon.... cause I like it.

and mine are a little messy cause I didn't use a knife to cut them.

I am not going to lie... I loved the Gilmore Girls. I used to watch it every Tuesday night. I had to bribe my then boyfriend- now husband- with friendlies reeses blizzards to sit through it with me. I haven't watched it in two years. But since I have this week off from work and we gave up our blockbuster membership and we don't have any television or cable just a DVD and a VCR I busted out the third season of the Gilmore's and I am loving it.

I was bored with some things in my apartment so I found a lamp... I think it was in

Pauly's car and then I re-did the shade....

I think it came out rather well.

Yes, my husband sleeps in a pink and brown stripped room with a ruffly lamp shade.

And pink sheets....

Yes, I am still very proud of myself.

They are really good organic tomatoes.

And its rained so much that a lot of people lost their gardens this year, which means my garden is magical cause I have no idea what I am doing and I grew veggies!

Either that or my father snuck into the garden and poured miracle grow all over the place so my veggies would grow......

or he goes to Stop & Shop and buys new veggies that he glues in my garden everyday so that I won't be sad to figure out that I am a bad gardener.

I will have to ask him.

Today I am working on some new fancy hair things and I harvested a zucchini and two little deformed cucumbers from my garden I am so excited... some of my tomatoes are turning darker orange.... I am also working on some mini art for some arts and crafts fairs in the next few months.

Here are a few new hair things I made today... I have to finish attaching come clips and I need a model then they will be up for sale on my Etsy shop..... A few more items and I can actually do some advertising.

My very first zucchini and cucumber I ever grew in my entire 28 years! I may have jumped the gun on harvesting this cucumber but its okay. I ate the other cucumber and it was delicious.

I love these new little art packs. How cute are they?

I mean I totally could have made these myself but I love the idea of being able to buy these mini art supplies.

I can't help it they are cute.

I have been working very hard on my stop motion movie. It was going quite well till yesterday when I began to have a lot of problems with the program I was using so I went to the Mac store to get a new program and that one isn't working which now is making me think that my computer has been taken over by aliens or at least ocean creatures...
